SPB Helper - 2006

Is your school already teaching the replacement to GNVQ ICT, Edexcel’s Diploma in Digital Applications?  Or, perhaps, you are considering doing so in September 2006?  Either way you will be interested to learn that there are a new range of innovative e-learning resources designed to support the DiDA qualification.

SPB Helper, by AltCampus, is completely different from any other e-learning resource that is currently on the market to support DiDA.  Unlike other e-learning providers we do not solely teach the course content; rather we prepare students for assessment. SPB Helper is the perfect preparation for the DiDA course assessment which is the Summative Project Brief.  Here is a summary of SPB Helper’s key features:

  • SPB Helper raises achievement.  SPB Helper gives your students the opportunity to have a “dry run” at the SPB.  This will give a significant boost to their chances of success when they have to complete their assessment under “controlled conditions”
  • SPB Helper is comprehensive. For each DiDA unit, at each level, there is a corresponding SPB Helper.
  • Free Resources: AltCampus provide a comprehensive library of resources that can help teach syllabus content.
  • SPB Helper is dynamic.  SPB Helper is based on the “live” SPB’s released by Edexcel.  All units will be available by mid-January 2006, most are available now.  Content is continually improved and updated throughout the shelf-life of the 2006 SPBs.
  • SPB Helper is media rich.  SPB Helper uses innovative technology to give your students video, animation and audio content over the web (a LAN based version is also available). It is also simple; only a web browser is needed to run the materials.
  • SPB Helper gives comprehensive syllabus coverage, especially section 3 and 1.
  • SPB Helper has e-learning credit status and no annual subscriptions
